A CT scan uses combinations of many x-ray images of a patient to see the inside of the body without cutting into anything. It eliminates superimposition of the images outside the area of interest. It is regarded as a radiation diagnostic technique. The use of CT scan has brought a lot of benefits to the world of medicine. Using radiations through a CT scan machine provides doctors with the detail of all the internal injuries of a patient. This way a lot of time is saved which was earlier used to detect the damage to the body in case of an accident. Now doctors can reach the exact point of injury and start the treatment as soon as the diagnosis is made.
